A BURTONWOOD amateur event rider is enjoying a promising start to the new season.
Erin Denney, 24, picked up two second place prizes on horses six-year-old Sliabh Bloom Boy and new ride Golden Boy at the British Eventing Stafford Horse trials.
She then collected another second place at Eland Lodge in Derbyshire, riding Sliabh Bloom Boy, a Connermara.
The former Bridgewater High School student will compete in the regional finals at Skipton in Yorkshire, likely to be held in August.
“We are now thoroughly excited for the rest of the season and what it may bring,” said Denney.
A student at Edge Hill University, Denney, who lives on her parents’ farm, is looking for sponsorship to help her continue to compete.
