Irlam Steelworks moved out of the relegation places thanks to a 5-2 win over Rylands A with breaks of 43 by Paul Oliver, 38 from James Short and 32 from Keith Veldhoven.
Division Two leaders Culcheth Sports B lost 5-2 at GESM B. Seeing their lead cut to two points by Bridgewater Club who defeated bottom club GTBL B 6-1.
GESM C moved joint second following a 4-3 win at Walkers B, while Monks A enjoyed a 36-break from Mike Delaney in a 6-1 win over Irish Club.
Division Three table toppers Kings Club C failed to increase their lead when they slipped to a 5-2 defeat at Woolston B.
Penketh Cons A were 5-2 victors at Roosters D with Kings Club A moving into third after they ended St Josephs’ winining run with a comfortable 6-1 win.
