WARRINGTON made a winning start to the new year after three of their teams were victors in games that kept them in their respective promotion races.
The women’s first team claimed a hard-fought 3-1 win at Crewe, with goals delivered by player of the match Steph Rawlins, two, and Sally Fraser.
The men’s first team were 5-2 victors at City of Manchester, completed with the help of goals from Ben Vickers, two, Steve Worrall, Noal Phillpotts and Rob Powell.
The men’s second string snatched a last-minute winner against Crewe thanks to Gavin Brown after teammates Dan Sutton and Scott McCue had earlier scored maiden goals.
