WARRINGTON’S third team dispatched a handy Heaton Moor outfit with a second-half blitz of 31 points without reply.
The foundations of a win that keeps them in contention for promotion were laid in a hard-fought first half in which Warrington’s forwards achieved overall dominance.
Tries came from new recruit and man-of-the-match Declan Wernham, two, Matt Drinkwater, two, Jonathan Hughes, two, Mark Tickle and Sean McDermott, who showed inspiring leadership throughout.
“Once again, our blend of youth and experience saw us through,“ said McDermott.
