LYMM took the bragging rights from this Raging Bull North West Leagues Division One clash played in gale-force conditions.

Warrington will be frustrated their saved one of their weakest performances for such an important clash, but Lymm deserved the spoils for being much more clinical with with their chances.

Having held off Warrington’s early pressure, Lymm struck the front with a Phys Jones penalty and turned the screw after the break.

Superb efforts from Lymm’s pack set up a strong second half and Adam Halford was driven over for an unconverted try before Tim Young’s try from another driving maul completed the victory.

Warrington will have few positives to cling to, except perhaps the return of Ashley Rockey from a long-term knee injury.

Lymm: O Askew, J Lewis, J Grant, A Halford, R Calderbank, J Harper, T Coon, T Young, J Worton, R Jones, S Lythgoe, A Fletcher, R MvEvoy, J Lester, D Norman.
