Rodger rifles Rylands to victory in Cheshire Football League round-up

EWAN Rodger’s brace secured Rylands’ 3-1 victory against Billinge in Cheshire Football League’s Division One.
Lee Deakin also scored on his debut appearance from the club, while Billinge's consolation came from Graeme Green.
Malpas moved to within four points of Division Two leaders Poynton following a 2-1 win at home against Moore United.
Both sides struggled in the strong winds, though Malpas took the lead through Alex Hughes before Moore were able to gain control of the game.
United equalised after a free kick crept through to Dave Willett, who made no mistake from close range, but Malpas’ top scorer Hughes was again on hand to give his side an advantage they protected until the final whistle.
Warrington Town Reserves came close to throwing away a three-goal half time lead against Sandbach United, but held on to stay fifth in Division Two.
Bradley Parker, two and Andrew Williams gave them the advantage, but a valiant second half performance saw Sandbach bring the game back to the 3-2 through Mike Blundell and Tom Watkin.
A 90th minute equaliser from Oliver Hardman allowed Daten to earn a valuable point after falling behind at home to Congleton Vale.
The 1-1 draw sees Daten move up to tenth.
Styal climbed into second place in the reserve division as they breezed to a 5-1 win at home against Rylands.
Joe Swindells was in fine form as he bagged a hat trick, with further goals coming from Alex Whelan and Matt West.
Leaders Greenalls PSO lost 3-0 at home against Linotype CHN, where Jordon Thompson, two, continued his scoring prowess and Mike Wild grabbed the third.
Gamesley secured an important 3-2 win away at Grappenhall Sports.
