ST OSWALDS A top Warrington and North Cheshire Bowls Association's Friday League Section A following an emphatic 31-2 victory at King and Queen B.
Joe Stone, 21-4, and Kevin Wainwright, 21-11 were the top winners for the leaders, who are being closely followed by newly crowned Challenge Cup winners King and Queen A following their 31-2 win at Tetley A.
King's top performers were John Taylor, 21-3, and Ray Goodhand, 21-7, while Brian Gleave won 21-7 for Tetleys.
Grange B scored a 10-5 success at Grange A, where Tex Mooney, 21-5, and Karl Whitfield, 21-10, were the best performers.
Wins from Liam Lawlor, 21-5, and Phil Arnold, 21-6, helped Alford A to 13-2 victory at Rylands A, Bob Littlewood earning the the top home win with a 21-9 card.
Golborne CMC beat Eagle A 11-3 thanks to John Hayes' 21-5 win.
Section D leaders Viaduct defeated second-placed Orford WM A 11-3 to stretch their lead at the top, with best wins coming from Lee Maddock, 21-6, and James Longshaw, 21-7.
Culcheth Sports scored a 10-4 success over Bulls Head B courtesy of Dave Haines' 21-4 card and Eddie Appleton's 21-7 win.
Paul Webster and Terry Hull won 21-11 to steer Tetley C to a 10-4 win over Richmonds B, for whom S Holt, 21-2, was the top visitor.
St Albans scored a 12-3 victory at Richmonds A, where the top winners were Ged Thomas, 21-6, and Rob Lawrenson, 21-8.
Eagle B continue to lead Section E following their 12-2 win over Crosfields B, with Norman Hamilton and Phil Collins sharing the sweep.
Second-placed Rylands B scored a narrow 8-7 win at Red Lion thanks to Rob Warburton's 21-12 win, while Mike Harney took the home sweep 21-6.
Wins from Michael Bishop, 21-6, and Paul Forshaw, 21-9, helped Grange C’s 13-2 victory at Stag B.
Monk Sports B defeated Croft 10-4 with help from top winners George Sutton, 21-4, and Ken Bibby, 21-10, as Rod Bevin took the visitors sweep 21-5.
