WARRINGTON Campus men’s rugby union team had their title chances ended after a 10-7 loss to Liverpool Hope University in their final game of the season.

The result sees the Padgate side drop three places to fourth in the table, only one point ahead of fifth-placed University of Chester who still have a game to play.

Josh Allison gave the hosts a dream start after just seven minutes, before Damien McMurray brought Hope level midway through the half.

Dan Asquith kicked the winning points from a penalty just five minutes into the second half, condemning Warrington to a disappointing season finale.
