WARRINGTON campus men’s rugby union side went to the top of the table as they toppled north west rivals Manchester Met 24-17.
The hosts took the lead in the opening five minutes through Sam Viller but the visitors hit back immediately thanks to Ian Cooper.
Manchester then extended their lead with a try from Mark Frenchie and took a 12-7 advantage going into half time.
A try each from Andrew Stone and Matty Brown turned things around for Warrington but Cooper’s second of the match cut the deficit.
Viller then put the result beyond doubt with a late try to end the match at 24-17.
