WARRINGTON Ladies Hockey struggled at home to a strong Chester seconds in the Cheshire Women’s League Division Two.
The visitors set out their stall early with impressive passing and movement, meaning Warrington’s defence of Natalie Long and Kirsty Anderson were called into constant action to keep their side’s sheet clean.
The pressure eventually told from a short corner routine, but Warrington turned around at the break with hope intact.
Despite the best efforts of goalkeeper and player of the match Tracy Jackson, Chester doubled their lead early in the second half and try as they might, Warrington could not make a mark on the scoresheet.
Warrington’s seconds suffered an even worse fate away to Triton in Division Six, going down 11-0.
