TWO students have been recognised as budding stars of amateur radio.
Daniel Miller, aged 22, from Orford and Matthew Hubble, aged 18, from Padgate, attended the Student Radio Awards in London.
Presented by Radio One's Nick Grimshaw, Daniel won bronze in the 'best newcomer' category, competing against university students.
The Warrington Collegiate interactive multi-media pupil said: " As the only college student in a category dominated by universities this is fantastic achievement. I’ve had a wonderful time, networking with the great and the good from student radio in the UK."
