BIRCHWOOD Youth Club has been boosted by a lottery grant of £5,800.
Bernadette Bell, neighbourhood regeneration officer at Frontis Housing Group, applied for Awards For All, a small grants scheme that makes awards of between £300 and £10,000 for the club.
And it was successful.
The club provides youngsters with schemes such as The Duke of Edinburgh Award, Youth Achievement Awards, advice on healthy living, cooking and cultural events. Birchwood Youth Club is also available as a venue for birthday parties, meetings and classes during the week and at weekends, for a minimal cost.
