PLANS have been submitted to expand the operation of an organic waste composting business in Culcheth while reducing its working hours.
Applicant David Broster, of Diggle Green Farm in Wilton Lane, wants to manage 75,000 tonnes of waste a year rather than the 35,000 tonnes previously approved by Warrington Borough Council.
He also wants to increase the facility's catchment area while reducing working hours and operating hours.
In a consultation response, senior enforcement officer Dan Matthewman said the application was partly retrospective due to an ongoing enforcement investigation.
Ed Thwaite, chairman of Lowton East Neighbourhood Development Forum, said the group would be commenting on the plans shortly after consultations with members as well as Kenyon Lane and Lane Head residents.
