LUMB Brook will get a more leafy look after funding for new trees was agreed by Stockton Heath Parish Council.
The money will go towards planting trees alongside Lumb Brook between Chadwick Avenue and Willow Drive and the maintenance of the greenery for the first five years.
The money was raised from grants by Neighbourhoods in Warrington Community Chest, Stockton Heath Parish Council and a raffle held by the residents of Willow Drive and Chadwick Avenue.
The Environment Agency and Golden Gates Housing Trust have added their blessings to the project.
Planting is due to take place by Warrington Borough Council in November with members of the community invited to help out.
