APPLETON turned out armed with bin bags and rubbish grabbers as part of a community litter pick.
Clr Sandra Benger, chairman of Appleton Parish Council arranged the tidy up over the course of two Saturdays last month.
With help from residents, schools, businesses, groups, Scouts, the churches, councillors and staff they had around 70 people helping to collect more than 50 bags of rubbish.
The Co-op store on Dudlow Green Road provided refreshments and snacks.
