WARRINGTON Borough Council has apologised to parish council officials for not consulting over proposed changes to access to Harpers Road.
Residents want it to be ‘access only’ to prevent parking problems.
However Clr Ian Johnson, chairman of Poulton with Fearnhead Parish Council, said it had not been notified as part of the statutory process.
He said: ‘’It isn’t good that the parish council was missed out of the consultation. It is very fortunate that this has been picked up now.’’ The parish council says the need of businesses, schools and health services that can be accessed via Harpers Road need to be considered.
The issue will be discussed at Monday’s parish council meeting at Fearnhead Cross Community Centre from 7.30pm.
