THE RAF Burtonwood Heritage Centre, in Old Hall, is hosting a charity event on September 18 and 19.
The Wartime Weekend, organised by the Burtonwood Association, will be held next to Gullivers World and will offer families the chance to learn about life during the Second World War.
Visitors can take a trip through a soldier’s camp, try on authentic uniforms and equipment and learn about RAF Burtonwood’s expansive history.
There will also be access to military vehicles, live music and stalls.
September 19 will feature a commemorative Battle of Britain parade.
Tickets for adults are £3, children over five can get in for £1.50 and entry is free for under fives and veterans. Parking for both days is free.
All money raised will go to the charities Help for Heroes and the RAF Association.
