WORK to transform the pavilion in St Elphin’s Park is almost ready to start.
The Friends of St Elphin’s Park has had its final pre-contract meeting before the work starts to renovate the 1930s pavilion.
Once completed it will reopen as The Pavilion Tea Rooms and offer a new space for the bowling teams..
The Friends group has been helped by Mayor Clr Peter Carey and Clr Tony Higgins and Warrington Borough Council, including Dave Cotterill and Glynn Evans.
The tea room will be open up to three days during the week and over the weekend and a range of events are scheduled including a summer fete and Halloween and Christmas celebrations The campaign group also holds regular tidy up in the park events.
