A HAIR session stylist from Appleton who has worked alongside The Saturdays is enjoying her fast-paced career since moving to London almost five years ago.

Chloe Oakes, 23, currently works for herself but assists other stylists during editorial shoots for campaigns, adverts, music videos and fashion designers.

Following her studies at Warrington Collegiate, it took 18 months for Chloe to be offered a job in the capital, during which time she has received the L'Oreal colour specialist and L'Oreal colour trophy awards.

Despite The Saturdays having their own resident hairdresser, Chloe was lucky enough to be working alongside the girl group through tour sponsors Garnier.

"It was wicked, it was great touring around the Uk and travelling around all of the different places," said the former Bridgewater High School pupil.

"I love travelling around as I'm not one to stay in one place all the time I get really bored always doing the same thing so that really suited me and was a great experience.

"I also love being surrounded by other motivated, ambitious people and with having the opportunity to be on a tour you are surrounded with other people who are like that."

Chloe admits moving from Warrington did take some getting used to but insists it was always a move that she believed could be on the cards and has never looked back since.

It is no secret that those trying to get a foothold in the industry may find it difficult but Chloe insists persistence is key.

"I am learning everyday but my advice to others would be to work as hard as you can and take every opportunity that you're offered," she added.

"If you want to be in this industry you gave to be willing to work hard & put in 100% all the time."
