APPLETON Parish Hall Library will be withdrawing Mondays from their opening times after low turnouts and a lack of volunteers.
The library, on Dudlow Green Road, will remain open each Tuesday from 10am to noon, where coffee is served.
Deputy parish council chairman, Sandra Benger, said: “People are aware of the problem but are not actually coming forward to help.”
The Monday afternoon session is going to stop, with effect, from November 10.
Advisory notices are going to be put up indicating that the last Monday of opening will be during this week.
