COUNCILLORS were set to decide on plans to create new classrooms at an Appleton school last night.
The council's planning sub committee were due to hear about the plans to make a new link building between the existing building and the year six building at Broomfields Junior School.
The plan will see the new building at the Bridge Lane school house a reception, two classrooms, offices and an extension to the car park.
In a report to the committee which recommends approval for the plan it says the scheme is part of a project to downsize the school by removing mobile accommodation.
On completion of the school downsize, the pupil numbers will be around 360, down from 480 with a reduction in staff.
