DENNIS Connel Edwin Hatcher, husband of Hilda Hatcher, died of pneumonia on September 22, aged 87.
Mr Hatcher, from Lymm, lived in the Warrington area all his life.
He served for two years in the Royal Navy, then was employed at Warrington Borough Council for 41 years at Walton Gardens, before taking early retirement.
In his younger days he enjoyed travelling on cruises all over the world.
He was a founder member of Lymm Festivities and a member of Lymm British Legion.
Mr Hatcher leaves his wife, three daughters, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A service was held on October 1 at St Mary’s Church, Lymm, followed by interment at Fox Covert Cemetery.
The Rev Keith Maudsley officiated.
Arrangements were made by John Burrows & Sons.
