DOROTHY Davies, wife of the late Arthur Davies, died on August 12, aged 85.
Mrs Davies, from Appleton, formerly of Grappenhall and Latchford, lived in the Warrington area all her life.
She was last employed as a deputy head teacher at Bolton Council Primary School.
Mrs Davies was a member of the Red Cross for many years and was also involved in a variety of scouting activities with her late husband.
She enjoyed family holidays in Wales and was a keen gardener.
Mrs Davies leaves a son, a daughter and four grandchildren.
A service was held on August 18 at Walton Lea, followed by cremation.
The Rev Jackie Bellfield officiated.
Arrangements were made by A Maddock & Son.
