HAROLD Roy Stanley, husband of Mary Stanley, died on August 6, aged 89.
Mr Stanley lived in the Stockton Heath area all his life.
He was employed in the wire industry at Rylands Whitecross for more than 50 years.
During the Second World War he served in the Tank Regiment.
Mr Stanley loved gardening, was interested in art and creative pursuits and was a member of the Bridgewater Art Group.
He enjoyed visiting his sons when they lived abroad and loved holidays with family and friends particularly in Wales.
He followed rugby league and was a Wolves supporter.
Mr Stanley leaves his wife, a son, a daughter, two grandsons, three granddaughters and a greatgranddaughter.
A service was held on August 24 at Walton Lea, followed by cremation.
The Rev Michael Ridley officiated.
