FRANK Sutton, husband of the late Carol Sutton, died of heart failure on January 17, aged 72.
Mr Sutton, from Fearnhead, lived in Warrington all his life.
He first worked as a coal merchant for the family business and then later worked as an HGV driver for Jewsons.
Mr Sutton was a bell ringer at St Oswald’s Church, Winwick and was cornet player and treasurer at Latchford Warrington Silver Band for 60 years.
He played crown green bowling, indoor short-mat bowling and indoor long mat.
He was a life member of Warrington RLFC and liked most sports.
Mr Sutton enjoyed gardening, holidays abroad and loved spending time with his family.
He leaves a step son, a granddaughter and a brother.
A celebration of his life was held on February 3 at Walton Lea, before interment at Fox Covert.
