A LAW firm with offices in the town centre and Stockton Heath has announced its acquisition of a human resources (HR) consultancy.

FDR Law has acquired Appleton-based Hayton Heyes.

The move is being tipped to 'complement' the firm's existing employment legal team and HR services.

Following the deal it has been confirmed Hayton Heyes' existing client base will be managed by FDR Law.

FDR Law's chief executive Oliver Burton welcomed the move and is predicting a year of growth.

He said: "Market demand has driven this acquisition as we are seeing an increasing requirement for specialist HR advice and support from our clients.

"Since we launched our FDR HR service to clients last year, we have had a very positive response.

"The acquisition of Hayton Heyes will now further enhance our consultancy and advice service, which we will continue to deliver alongside our existing legal service through our expert commercial team.

"2017 will be a year of strong and steady growth for FDR and the acquisition and appointments we have made are a key part of our growth strategy over the next 12 months.

"We are currently seeing strong performance in our commercial business and these measures will ensure we capitalise on that growth and continue to attract new commercial clients, as well as private clients."
