A CONFERENCE to accommodate for the growing demand of virtual assistants (VA) in the north west will take place over the next two days at Centre Park.

The first part will commence at 2.30pm today, Thursday, and will see VAs from across the region take part.

The north west VA award will also be announced at the conference.

Event organiser Joanne Hawkins said the event is aimed at helping VAs stand out in an ‘increasingly competitive’ market.

“Businesses, especially small and medium sized enterprises, are now outsourcing tasks to virtual assistants who work from home,” she said.

“These tasks include anything from social media and diary management to running an event.

“We’re finding a lot of entrepreneurs with start-up companies are also using VAs as it’s a cost efficient way to run their fledgling business.

“As a result, we’re seeing more people enter the market and so it’s important for VAs to stand out from the crowd.

“The conference provides an ideal opportunity for the north west VAs to learn, collaborate and network together.

“We’ve got experienced speakers who can’t wait to share their own experiences about building a successful business.”

Attendees will learn about how they can raise awareness of their business through social and digital marketing, building a personal brand, as well as new business strategies.
