THE owner of talkSPORT has moved its head office to Birchwood Park's newly renovated office block.

UTV Media (GB), which also owns 13 local radio stations including Wire FM, join a number of large and small firms in 401 Faraday, including international service corporation, TUV SUD and SMS-based mobile phone marketing payment service, MPP Global.

The building has also seen the expansion of existing occupiers Space 48 and Tenet Consultants.

These lettings come off the back of a successful 2014 for Birchwood Park, who have now let 75 per cent of the 92,000 sq ft floor space available in 401 Faraday St.

UTV Media (GB) joined Birchwood Park in 2008 and has long been part of the park’s business community.

The business now occupies 4,694 sq ft in the newly refurbished building, which is easily accessible by commuters due to the park’s central location between Manchester and Liverpool.

The new development adds another asset to Birchwood Park’s community-centred business destination, bringing understated elegance and a cool metropolitan style to companies requiring state of the art office space.

Jonathan Walsh, managing director at Birchwood Park said, “The completion of 401 Faraday St concluded a phenomenal year for us.

"The fact that we’ve had such a rapid take up demonstrates the demand for new high design out of town office space.

“Our ethos is that companies should expect more from their buildings: the right working environment is vital for businesses to grow and employees to be motivated, which is ultimately what we aim to deliver with our new refurbishment.”

Tony Tompkins, Finance Director, UTV Media (GB) said, “Since 2008 Birchwood Park has provided us with office space that meets our needs and our relocation to 401 Faraday St is a fantastic opportunity for us to ensure that our employees are in the best office environment."
