THE University of Chester’s Padgate campus has launched a new business club to provide support including workshops and master classes.

The first event was held at the School of Managment yesterday Wednesday.

Called the Ignite Business Club it offers senior decision makers expert help and advice to increase their profits and become more commercially and digitally savvy.

The club’s subscription-based service includes a free business diagnostic with an independent review of areas that need improving; access to master classes and professional workshops on a range of subjects such as financial planning, helping to devise a recruitment and selection programme and finding out how to use social media to increase sales; webinars; access to the wealth of knowledge available at the university and the opportunity to attend high profile events with keynote speakers.

Professor Lawrence Bellamy, associate dean at the Warrington School of Business Management, said: “The University of Chester is delighted to present another opportunity for regional businesses to engage with our Warrington School of Management through the Ignite Business Club initiative.

“We pride ourselves in providing training and education which meets the needs of people in business and is designed to help them perform to a high standard within their chosen career.”
