TRAINEES at a fast-growing Warrington company put their presentation skills to the test during a Dragon’s Den-style event.
The challenge involved 27 apprentices from Optionis, on Centre Park, being divided into teams and tasked with creating a video or presentation outlining the benefits of taking up an apprenticeship with the company.
The presentations were judged by a panel of ‘dragons’ including Warrington South MP, David Mowat and Optionis chief executive, Rob Crossland.
Speaking at the closing event of the competition during National Apprenticeship Week from March 3 to 7, Mr Mowat praised the enthusiasm, creativity and confidence on display.
He said: “I have been extremely impressed with the standard of the presentations I have seen today, and I have no doubt that you will all be successful in your careers here at Optionis.”
Optionis is a business and freelancer support provider and employs around 250 staff.
The trainees work towards recognised academic qualifications during their first 12 months, with the opportunity to secure permanent contracts once they complete their apprenticeship.
Mr Crossland said: “As an organisation we place a strong emphasis on nurturing local talent and giving people the opportunity to progress and develop.”
