POLICE and the fire service have issued warnings following flooding in the Warrington area.
Heavy rain all day Monday has caused high water levels in areas right across the town including Orford, Dallam, Great Sankey and Croft.
Roads are affected as are gulleys throughout the town.
Hawleys Lane in Dallam, which has been closed to traffic, is one of the worst hit areas as shown by this picture.
The Met Office has predicted the rain could continue for another 24 hours and have issued an amber weather warning for the area.
Parts of Orford Park have been flooded while warnings have been issued for Sankey Brook at Gemini.
A flooding warning has also been put in place for Sankey Brook in Dallam for homes on Chepstow Close, Colwyn Close, Higham Avenue, Tavlin Avenue, Marshall Avenue, Mullen Close and Hodgkinson Avenue.
