A MAN was arrested following a four hour siege in Warrington.
Police were called around 6pm to the incident at a bridge on Bewsey Road following a call relating to the welfare of a 24 year old man.
They have now confirmed he had a child with him during the drama.
He was arrested around 11pm and nobody was hurt. He remains in police custody.
A police spokesman said: "There was no suggestion that the man was harmed and nobody was injured.
The road was closed to traffic and the public.
