THE family of Barbara Yates have paid tribute after her body was found in a car in north Wales.

In a statement they said: "Barbara was a fun loving woman who lived to make people laugh.

“She had a wicked sense of humour.

“Barbara was loved by all that knew her.

“She was a loving mum, friend, sister and auntie."

It is alleged the body of the 49-year-old was found in the boot of husband John Yates’ car outside a police building in St Asaph, Wales on Wednesday.

Yates, of Derby Drive, Bruche, appeared at Mold Crown Court on Monday charged with murder. The defendant spoke only to confirm his name.

He has been remanded in custody until his next court appearance on Friday, September 28.
