Former News International chief Rebekah Brooks charged

FORMER News International chief Rebekah Brooks has been charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice over phone hacking.

Her husband Charlie and three of her members of staff have also been charged by the Crown Prosecution Service.

She will appear before magistrates in Westminster in June accused of hiding computers and evidence from police who were investigating allegations of phone hacking while she was editor of the News of the World. The 43-year-old was born in Warrington and grew up in Hatton.
