PATIENTS were happy with the treatment they received from the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) in March, according to a report from the Care Quality Commission.

The routine inspection gave the trust the thumbs up in all six categories including patients being cared for in a ‘clean environment and protected from the risk of infection’.

Darren Hurrell, NWAS chief executive, said: “This assures the population of the north west that they have one of the best ambulance services in the country and is testimony to the hard work and efforts made by our staff.”
