PARK SPORTS DAY: OLYMPIC events start early in Warrington with an open day at Poole Park, Longford, on Saturday.
Led by Warrington Borough Council’s sport engagement team, it will provide a chance for families to enjoy a range of sporting activities.
Sport on offer will include traditional games like football, rugby, and boxing and the more contemporary zumba and haka.
Clr Kate Hannon, executive member for community and culture, said: “The Olympics open weekend promises a fun-filled day out for all the family and the chance to get involved with the games.
“With a wide variety of activities on offer from athletics to cookery, there really is something for everyone, so why not make a day of it?”
The fun runs from 10am until 3pm.
