JOANNE Bull, mum to 15-year-old twins Jack and Jenna and four-year-old Jacob, has been working on the A&E unit for the past three years.
She said: “I decided to go on to A&E after spending time working in the eye clinic so I could gain more experience. Every day is different and it’s rewarding but it can also be very upsetting.”
The 33-year-old, who is married to Darren and lives in Lilford Fields, Bewsey, spends her three 13-hour shifts a week tending to minor and major injuries and patient assessments as well as dealing with cardiac arrests and broken bones.
She added: “It’s always nice to see a patient feeling better because of you, or realising what they have is less serious than they first thought. I must do it because I love it.”
