Winwick Road
THE date has been confirmed for major roadworks to begin on Winwick Road.
From May 23 works will begin to remove the roundabout between Winwick Road and Long Lane.
It will be replaced with traffic lights and additonal lanes.
A new junction to link Winwick Road to the Orford Park Project will also begin.
It will also have traffic lights, and pedestrian facilities.
Part of the development will involve diverting underground pipes and cables.
Temporary traffic lights will be in use.
The council has said work will be restricted during rush hour. It apologised for any inconvenience.
