STAFF at a Penketh beauty salon are giving up their time to raise cash for a brave Warrington solider who was seriously wounded in Afghanistan.

Beauticians at Seventh Heaven, Warrington Road, are volunteering to work for free during the salon’s pamper day on October 27 to help the charity Warrington Cares for Tom.

Kingsman Tom Coleridge was shot in the abdomen in July and equipment is needed for when the 18-year-old moves back home.

Hayley McKune and Suzanne Wainwright organised the event after hearing about Tom on the news. Suzanne, salon manager, said: “Me and my family know Tom’s dad Garry so we wanted to do all we could to help them.

“We’ve got a number of beauticians who have given up time from their day to help but we’re still looking for more.”

Tickets for the event cost £10 which pays for one treatment at the salon including spray tans, manicures and hot stones massage.
