ST Rocco’s Hospice has been chosen as Golden Square shopping centre’s charity of the year.
The mall hopes to raise £125,000 for the cause by September next year.
A variety of fundraising events will take place throughout the year to raise the cash for a hospice outreach service.
Ian Cox, Golden Square marketing manager, said: “Our shoppers are renowned for their generosity.
“I am delighted that we have the opportunity to make a genuine difference to support the great work the hospice does.”
Claire Manock, appeals manager at St Rocco’s, said: “We hope our 25th anniversary year will be one of our most successful fundraising years.”
