MILLIONAIRE Charlie confessed he was scared of what he might find in the north west and said: “When they said I was going to Warrington I really wasn’t looking forward to it.
“When I got there it was a very deprived area but coming back for the opening I realise that it’s an amazing place with good people.”
Charlie, whose company took care of the Palmyra Square site’s plumbing and electrics, praised the charity for being unique and added: “John Holt is so supportive to so many people in the area and now there’s a centre that’s inviting and homely which is what people deserve and I’m so impressed.
“I’ve had family members who’ve died from cancer and others who’ve survived and it’s a disease that touches everyone in some way which is why I wanted to help.”
