A GREAT Sankey author looking for a publisher hopes his wishes will come true after making his three life goals public by writing them on his website.

Kal Malik, of Marina Avenue, has set his sights high with aims including appearing on American talk show host Oprah Winfrey’s show before she retires in 2011.

The 43-year-old said: “I finished writing my book about a month ago called Active Enlightenment – Transformation Through Creation which focuses on my work around personal and spiritual development.

“I was looking for a publisher when I was inspired by a story explaining how the best-selling self-help book, Chicken Soup for the Soul, was published after the authors took 20,000 names of people who would like to buy the book to the publishers.

“I decided to set up a website where people can read my goals and send me their messages of support and I’ve had a number of positive comments already.”

A time limit was put on Kal’s goals when US star Oprah announced the show would finish when she retires next year.

He added: “For many, myself included, Oprah is inspiration exemplified, I just love her.

“But days before I put together my website I dreamt I was rushing to the stage to appear on the show and a voice was saying ‘hurry she won’t be here much longer’.

“The following week she announced her retirement plans.

“I was speechless but knew I had to get a move on if I was going to achieve my goals.”

As his third goal, life coach Kal dreams of sharing the stage with famous personal development speaker Wayne Dyer during a weekend event where crowds will look forward to what the pair have to say.

Kal’s family may not be completely convinced his three-goal plan will work but they are keen to see what happens next.

He added: “I think my family and friends all think it’s a bit mad but they keep telling me to remember them when I’m famous!”
