PETER Hall's acclaimed production of Oscar Wilde's comic masterpiece An Ideal Husband opens at Manchester's Opera House on April 28, direct from a triumphant run at the Old Vic.
The star-studded cast is headed by Simon Ward who played Young Winston and includes Carol Drinkwater, Deborah Grant, Robert East, Barbara Murray and Richard Todd.
Carol is probably best remembered as Helen Herriott in All Creatures Great and Small for which she was awarded the Variety Club Television Personality of the Year Award.
Richard Todd's innumerable films include classics like The Hasty Heart and The Dambusters.
Barbara Murray remains one of the country's most popular actresses with many notable films while her television credits include The Planemakers, The Power Game, The Pallisters and The Bretts.
