AFTER a disastrous start to the season, the match against Sheffield Eagles reached a level which no-one believed could happen to a Super League club.
Action was needed and agreements were reached to move on and the team responded magnificently as you will all have witnessed when we beat Wigan at home for the first time in 11 years.
Compared to how they had previously been playing they responded like heroes The feeling was unbelievable for them and all the supporters.
In the match programme I asked our supporters to get behind the team and cheer them on emphasising the difference this can make to team morale.
You were magnificent in your support for the team and the Wilderspool roar was a treat to the ears of all.
If the team is the heart of a club, then the supporters are the life-blood. On the day our supporters were also heroes in the way they got behind the team.
JOHN SMITH
Wolves' chief executive.
