ENTERPRISING youngsters took to the stage to raise money for their own company.

Pupils from Lymm High School organised a talent competition to boost the coffers of their Young Enterprise firm, 'Zoiks.'

The company was set up last September and specialises in stage managing events around the school, from sports tournaments to variety shows.

Children were charged £1 each to take part in auditions and 12 acts then took part in the grand finale, watched by a packed audience in the school hall.

And the winners, who received a cash prize, were 'The Raspberries' who performed the latest hits from pop sensations 'The Cranberries.'

Event organiser Laura Kelly said: "It was a great night which helped raise even more money for the company. We are now £400 to £500 in profit so we're doing really well."
