A DANCE trio is jetting off to perform in Warrington's twin town of Hilden in Germany.

The three teenagers, who are part of the Cheshire Youth Dance Company, will visit the town as part of an exchange trip organised by Warrington Borough Council.

Padgate students, Kate Jackson and Dave Hackney, and Judith Hammill, from Great Sankey, are currently choreographing contemporary dance routines to perform in a tour of German schools and youth groups.

Council officer, Liz State, said: "This will be a very different experience for the students.

"They will hold workshops to teach dance to the German children, but it will be a learning experience for them as well. They will meet dancers from other nationalities and learn different styles and techniques."

The youngsters are ppealing for cash to pay for the trip which leaves in August.

They have planned a sponsored 'rope walk' in a forest in Conway and also a hike up Snowden. Anyone who would like to sponsor them should ring Liz State on 444400.
