PARISH leaders have come up with a unique solution to an area's litter problems - they took away the bins.
The overflowing bins outside the shops in the Oakwood centre were leaving rubbish scattered up and down the street.
Parish councillors, fed up with trying to have the bins emptied, decided to remove the problem.
Clr Paul Ross said: "The bins were never being emptied and the wind was just blowing the litter all over the street.
"We decided to remove two of the bins and since then, the problem has improved considerably."
