WARRINGTON museum will be home to "Bannerama", a display of the creative skills of people recovering from mental illness.
The exhibition will feature banners created by artists working with Start Studios, a Manchester based group that deals with the rehabilitation of sufferers.
The banners themselves will not only adopt the traditional use of textiles, but will also make use of more modern methods, such as ceramics and photography.
Wendy Teal, of Start, said, "It is an exhibition full of strength and hope and the artists have produced work of a professional standard. This is our 10 year anniversary, and we can't think of a better way to celebrate". The exhibition runs from April 3 to May 17 from 10.00am - 5.30pm and admission is free.
