FITNESS fans Peter Worthy and James Dean are teaming up to put their road race talents to the test in their first marathon.
For the gym club members are joining forces to run for spinal research in the world-famous London Marathon on April 13.
Peter and James, who are both aged 27 and come from Timbersbrook, have set themselves a sponsorship target of £1,000 for the race.
The money they raise will go to the International Spinal Research Trust, which looks into ways of repairing damaged spinal chords.
The pair are members of the gym at Congleton Leisure Centre, which they use as part of their marathon training, in addition to swimming and running 20 miles at the weekends.
James is a farmer, while Peter is an autoelectrician with A D Electrics in Mossley.
