SANDBACH......0 CREWE & NANTWICH....33
IT WAS an easy victory for Crewe & Nantwich Rugby Club in this local derby, the team overwhelming a Sandbach side which couldn't offer a real challenge.
Crewe were dominant in every department, and without ever having to stretch themselves quickly turned that superiority into a points advantage. Captain for the day Simon Mackeen was in superb form, with kicker Simon Wall as reliable as ever.
During the course of the match, Crewe were able to knock up their 100th try of the season, youngster Jimmy Forster scoring after only five minutes.
In the end, it was only some brave tackling by Sandbach which prevented a complete humiliation.
